Patients who participate in Freedom Recovery's medication-assisted treatment program will also have access to the following additional advocacy services.

It is the belief of Freedom Recovery Center that no treatment model is linear. We strive to provide services that aid in relief from the numerous barriers this disease creates. When a need in an individual or the community is identified, our scope of practice changes with accordance of best-practice models to ensure that recovery is never out of reach. It is our hope that through these methods of advocacy, individuals are able to reach their personal goals faster, free from the quarrels of addiction.

Legal Advocacy

laws and regulations pertaining to those affected by substance use disorders are constantly changing. We aim to provide legal advocacy for those who are involved in court/legal settings where access to medicated recovery can be scarce. It is our mission to educate individuals, their support team, and legal systems on the necessity of medication-assisted treatment therapy for this disease. We help guide patients on their specific rights in the court system and work together with their rehabilitation program to ensure that best outcomes are still within reach in the legal setting.

Medical Advocacy

We believe in empowering patients with the skills to navigate through their medical needs to make informed decisions on their healthcare. We would like to eliminate the various obstacles to quality care that our patients tend to face. Offering advocacy support in the medical setting leads to better health outcomes. We inform patients on what they can expect in different medical scenarios and offer listening support to those who are feeling uncertain about their care.

Wellness Line

Need someone to talk to? Questions about staying healthy? Feeling overwhelmed about taking the first steps towards recovery? The wellness line is available as an added support to patients. This is a resource for all ages and all backgrounds. It is meant to offer listening-support with a trauma-informed trained advocate. This resource was created to help maneuver through the stressors that arise when living with this disease. The wellness line is open Monday-Friday 9am-4pm.

Life Skills Coaching

So you've faced the hardest part, managing your disease, and now that you have your freedom back from it you're looking to progress your life even further. Congratulations! We offer support in life skills coaching that can assist in bettering your overall life circumstances. Some services provided through this advocacy piece are resume writing, employment placement, personal finance courses, and housing support.

Community Engagement

We believe in the collaboration of community. We want to connect patients with programs within their own community that support their best outcome. By attending community meetings/forums we are able to advocate for individuals afflicted by this disease in a broader setting. If a need is identified that is affecting our patient community, we advocate for change. We also look to give back within our served communities through donations, grants, and community events.

Family/Support Team Collaboration

If patients are comfortable, we look to engage their support team as much as possible. It is not easy facing this disease alone. We have found that the best outcomes arise from increased support offered to individuals and their support system through education, listening-support, and wellness training. We believe in team-oriented philosophies that set up positive allies for those in recovery. Through theses healthy support team and family dynamic collaborations, recovery is even more attainable to those wishing to include them in their services.
